Koha 20.11 - RabbitMQ and lock_dir

After our upgrade to Koha 20.11, we have noticed a couple of errors. I'm trying to track them down and understand the changes. - lockdir in XML configuration file I get a warning about lockdir missing from the XML file, even after adding the line. I added: <lockdir>/var/lock/koha</lockdir> to my /etc/koha-conf.xml file but the error is still showing up in the About Koha screen. Do I have to do something to clear it? Or did I miss something? - RabbitMQ as message broker Reading the documentation, the addition of RabbitMQ as a message broker is specifically done for PLACK. Do I really have to set up a local RabbitMQ or is there another workaround? What am I gaining that did not work before? Because adding another little piece of software is a bit of hassle. If it is needed, where do I find documentation on setup? The Wiki has nothing that I found to be worthwhile. And if it is not (yet) needed, then how do I remove the error? Hide Purchase suggestion

Internal Server Error (OPAC and Staff Client)

We are running Koha 19.11 on Debian 9 via a 10 GB Google Cloud vm. Both the OPAC and staff client pages currently return an internal server error. The most recent errors in opac-error.log are similar to: [log_config:warn] [pid 5827] (28)No space left on device: [client 98.179.232.64:59825] AH00646: Error writing to /var/log/apache2/other_vhosts_access.log Running df -h yields: Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on udev 840M 0 840M 0% /dev tmpfs 171M 19M 152M 12% /run /dev/sda1 9.8G 9.3G 0 100% / tmpfs 851M 0 851M 0% /dev/shm tmpfs 5.0M 16K 5.0M 1% /run/lock tmpfs 851M 0 851M 0% /sys/fs/cgroup I don't have enough experience with Google Cloud to know if the 100% is causing it, but I'm guessing so. We have just under 4k bibs, though, and the pandemic has dropped circulation lower than it has ever been. Should I expect to be running into the limit, or is there something else I should look into before I resize the root file system? Any guidance on safely resizing would be very welcome, if that's my best solution. Thank you, Jesse Stallings

error message in cronjob

Hi. After the latest update (version 20.11.03) I keep getting E-mails from the system with an error from a cronjob: /etc/cron.daily/koha-common: Undefined subroutine &main::cronlogaction called at /usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/plugins_nightly.pl line 8. biblioteca: 255 status returned by "/usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/plugins_nightly.pl" In the Koha release notes I can see that this cronjob script is a new feature. Acquisition module takes more time

I notice in almost every version of the Koha Acquisition module takes usually more time than others especially when entering New purchase suggestion and saving it takes more time. INSTALLING KOHA ON UBUNTU

Hi I am installing koha on ubuntu v 20 and I am stcu at installing mariadb-server. I get this error *The following packages have unmet dependencies: mariadb-server : Depends: mariadb-server-10.5 (>= 1:10.5.9+maria~focal) but it is not going to be installedE: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.* Please help me resolve this *Regards* *James.*

(koha) BACKUP KOHA VIA TOOLS

Hello team, I have a system that has no backups to download at the export data, backups in the tools module. The config file is well edited to allow for the backups via tools. What could be the problem? Koha version is 19.05 Ubuntu 16.04 Please help Warm Regards James

Kohathon 2021 Cancelled

Hello everyone, At today's koha-US meeting the koha-US conference committee made the decision to cancel the planned Kohathon 2021 that we had scheduled for April 28. We didn't receive many submissions for presentations and it seemed like we were not going to have enough content to fill the schedule and everone on the conference committee agreed that cancellation was our best option. Our thanks to the people who did submit proposals and we've contacted each of them individually with the hope that we can use the proposals they submitted for Kohathon for our hybrid in-person/online conference coming up in September.
