Thank you so much for letting me join this mailing list! My name is Mathew Wood, and I live in Northwest Florida in the USA. I discovered the beautiful Koha system about 5 years ago, and started utilizing it this year. I installed the software with help from the community wiki, and personalized it as much as possible on my own. I love all the advanced features of this ILS, and I learn something new every day! That being said, I played around with the framework and Koha mapping, and now I cannot figure out how to run the “batch rebuild biblio tables” perl script cronjob. Every time I try to run it, I get certain errors such as “unable to locate dbh..” Are there common issues with these scripts? My search function is not working within the staff interface (cannot find items by barcodes, call numbers, etc.) Items also do not display information correctly. Can anybody assist me with running the necessary cronjobs on Debian to fix this issue? Thanks.

Create Local Admin for Sub-Libraries

Hello, I have twenty libraries (sub-libraries) in the Koha library system, and each library needs to have a different system admin user (local user),I don't want to grant the local system user super librarian permissions. How can I fix this issue? Thanks.

Thank you for responding to my e-mail. I ran the command as you displayed in the example and this is the output: " sudo koha-shell -c "perl batchRebuildBiblioTables.pl" ccfl syntax error at batchRebuildBiblioTables.pl line 13, near "C4::Biblio qw(GetXmlBiblio TransformMarcToKoha)" BEGIN not safe after errors--compilation aborted at batchRebuildBiblioTables.pl line 14. However, you may execute it as Linux user "koha" as follows. KOHA sets due date to current date when checking out

Dear all, Our library is working with KOHA 21.11. Since yesterday the check out process doesn't match the circulation rules which are already defined very well for all the libraries, instead it sets the due date to the current date. So if I check out a book today, the due date is today. I have checked the calendar and the log file, but everything is ok. What could be the reason? Hi 😄 Here is the poll: https://date.chapril.org/dclCfJnVDojHoxyx Reminder of the modalities: The idea is to test patches to contribute to Koha. No need for particular skills, just basic Koha usage. You can come an leave at any moment, even for a short time it's possible to get simple stuff moving forward. We will use a VoIP call with chat tool to speak and eventually screenshare. It's possible to join without sound and only use chat. So if you are at the front desk and there are not much patrons you can still test patches ^^ And also it's easier if you aren't comfortable with oral english. No need to have a local Koha instance. Just with a web browser we can use the sandboxes [1] to have temporary Kohas to test most of patches and do whatever we want without bad consequences. French (fr-FR) Translator problem

Dear all, I am adding some language to my Koha OPAC and Staff Client. I can add the languages, as desired, with koha-translate package service but unfortunately its not working as expected for French (fr-FR). When I enable French on either of the interfaces the search results display no bibliographic/metadata for the records, only blank spaces, although it returns exact number of results. I have tried with both Zebra and Elasticsearch, same result. For other languages (Spanish, Arabic etc.) everything shows OK. Even the Canadian version of French (fr-CA) is also working. Its happening both in OPAC and Staff Client. Background jobs stuck at "New" and can't be kick-started

Hi all, We're having some problems with background jobs and hoping we can get some advice. Running Koha 22.05.05, we have 25 background jobs stuck at New. Some are batch item record modifications, some are holds queue updates. I've tried restarted rabbit-mq and the koha-worker but it hasn't seemed to pick up the jobs, using these commands: $ sudo koha-worker --stop <sitename> $ sudo service rabbitmq-server stop $ sudo koha-worker --start <sitename> $ sudo koha-worker --stop <sitename> $ sudo service rabbitmq-server start $ sudo koha-worker --start <sitename> The biblionumbers and itemnumbers that the jobs are trying to affect are all legitimate records in the database. Alternate graphic representation (880) for Contents (505)

Hi, while I can fill a 880 (Alernate graphic representation) for any linked field, this is usually diaplayed only for 240 (Uniform title), 245 (Title statement), or 100 (Main entry-Personal name) fields. Is it possible to have an Alternate graphic representation displayed also for a 505$t (Formatted contents note - title) [repeatable] field? Many thanks! Giuseppe.
