A new problem has come up, though, that Koha won't let us check out to some patrons. When we scan or type in a barcode, a thin yellow box--the kind that usually contain message dialoges--appears with no information.
This sounds very much like Bug 4036 which I reported as existing in the 3.2 alpha: http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=4036 In 3.2 the problem you describe happens because there are problems with the patron's record which block them from checking out, but no error description has been provided to the interface. Koha is saying, "I can check out, but I can't tell you why."
