I know that academic libraries point out to their patrons that there is Zotero integration (much smoother than the Refworks or Endnote way of doing things). If we were to remove it it should be a preference for people to turn on because having Zotero integration is a big deal to research libraries (and to me personally). Community,
Did you know that Koha automatically parses the bibliographic records it returns with a search, and gives you a COiNS/OpenURL/Z39.88 span that bibliographic utilities can pick up on? I did, but I've never had call to use it.
Does anyone out there make use of this feature, or teach their patrons to?
I ask, because it's a very expensive feature, resource-wise, and if it's not commonly used, it may be best to be something we enable/disable with a system preference.
I've filed a bug report for this (http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=5957), and will be working on a patch, if the community feels this is worth the effort.
Cheers,
-Ian
