Aren't these cover images copyright protected? __Sam Davoodifar Manitoba Education Citizenship & Youth -----Original Message----- From: koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz [mailto:koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz] On Behalf Of Joe Atzberger Sent: Thursday, August 20, 2009 10:00 AM To: Dibyendra Hyoju Cc: Koha General Mailing-List Subject: Re: [Koha] Displaying book covers or thumbnails on search result I don't know how the hyperlink is related. Most book jackets are retrieved from external sources using ISBN. In 2.2, I think ISBN is the only key for jacket images. However, the Amazon code in 2.2 may not be current enough to use the Amazon API anymore. Amazon changed their terms of service and technical dimensions of how the API is used. In 3.0, the Amazon integration is current and working, and other identifiers might also be used, but ISBN is still the most common. --Joe Atzberger 2009/8/20 Dibyendra Hyoju <dibyendra@gmail.com> Hi all, I have installed Koha 3.00.03 on Debian-Lenny. I have imported our Library records using 'bulkmarcimport.pl' and it is working fine. We want to display thumbnails of books on the search result. We've kept the hyperlink of the book cover on the subfield $a of tag 856. I searched for the solution on Google but I couldn't find the relevant information. I found the solution for Koha 2.x but that was just for moving the book cover to the left-hand side <http://www.myacpl.org/koha/?p=196> of the search result. I have seen libraries displaying the book covers on their search resuly. So, I was wondering how to display the thumbnails of the book covers on the search result of OPAC. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. -- Dibyendra Hyoju Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya Patan Dhoka, Lalitpur Nepal
