[Koha] problem with currency format

I have to store the book price in different currency format. For eg. some books have the price in US dollers, some others have in pound and some other book price in Indian Rupees. When I am saving the book price (eg: $180.00) in the field "Cost, normal purchase price" it is saving as 0.00. How can I solve this problem?
