[Koha] How-To setup overdue notices sending feature

hello all I am using koha3.0.3. I wanted to use the funtion of sending overdue notices to the patrons by koha automatically from the crontab. Is there a how-to expalining the process??? I have tried to setup it in my local computer having sendmail installed. But i could not get sucess in sending the mail to the patrons. The same crontab calcualted the fines very well.
