Nicole, We set up our library system with a Main Library and a Textbook library. (We check out textbooks for our students for the semester and they are housed in a different area.) But now we cannot seem to search both of these "branches" at the same time. Is there a way to set it so we can search them both? In admin we have the option to set it to one or the other. In the opac there doesn't seem to be a choice, but it is searching only Main Library. Should we have made them into a Group?
We were very confused in setting up branches, groups, collections, item types etc. We also have textbooks as a Collection and as an Item type, so maybe that is a problem. It's really hard to see all the ramifications of setting things up in a certain way before actually seeing how it functions.
(I enjoyed the editors notes re branches/libraries/groups etc. in the manual. Made me feel better about our confusion.)
