Nicole, We set up our library system with a Main Library and a Textbook library. (We check out textbooks for our students for the semester and they are housed in a different area.) But now we cannot seem to search both of these "branches" at the same time. Is there a way to set it so we can search them both? In admin we have the option to set it to one or the other. We were very confused in setting up branches, groups, collections, item types etc. We also have textbooks as a Collection and as an Item type, so maybe that is a problem. It's really hard to see all the ramifications of setting things up in a certain way before actually seeing how it functions.
(I enjoyed the editors notes re branches/libraries/groups etc. in the manual. Made me feel better about our confusion.)

A little more explanation. Most of our textbook records have both Main Library and Textbook items on them since we usually keep one copy in the stacks. And both Main Library AND Textbook items are showing up when we search the opac. But records that have ONLY textbook items on them do not show in opac, and only in admin after I switched setting to Textbooks. We want everything in ML and TXT to be searchable in the opac.
