I concur with this summary of how the press releases should be handled. I understand the vendors plight as well and would like for them to have separate space. But on a number of websites, the real news gets lost in the "We signed a contract" type stuff which is irrelevant to all but those seeking a vendor and the vendors. ************************************** I, personally, would rather keep koha-community.org as vendor agnostic as possible. This includes press releases, hosted demos (would need to change how this currently works), and other vendor specific news. The reason for this is that I don't want legitimate community news to get lost in a sea of "X company signs Y library for support/hosting" type of news. I look to the project website to tell me what I need to know about the status of the project, not explicitly about companies supporting the project (we have a spot for that, under Paid Support).
