Several people have been asking for this - the ability to link to their own cover images - maybe this is something developers should get together on and write the code for - if you have that skill that would be a great enhancement to add to Koha. Hi Nicole,
Thank you very much for your prompt response. Our library "Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya" archives Nepali library materials. We were suggested to use the tag 866$a to store the electronic resource as a hyperlink, and we have copied the images of cover pages to our wesbite.
Our record looks like follows in which a hyperlink is placed on the 856$a, linking to the book cover:

As we cannot find the book jackets of Nepali books on Amazon, Librarything, Google books, etc., we're scanning the book jackets ourselves and putting them on our own website. If images cannot be imported from the MARC record, It would be great if we could display the book cover from our records in some other mechanism.
Also, If ISBN is mandatory for loading book jackets, there will be a problem for most of our old Nepali records which don't have ISBN. I am hopeful that there might be some other alternative way to load book covers for the records lacking ISBN.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanking you, Dibyendra

These book jackets are coming from Amazon, Google Books, Syndetics, Baker & Taylor, LibraryThing or Babeltheque. You can choose which service you want to use by going to your system preferences at More > Administration > Global System Preferences > Enhanced Content. At this time there is no way to import images from the MARC record.

Hi all,
I have installed Koha 3.00.03 on Debian-Lenny. I have imported our Library records using 'bulkmarcimport.pl' and it is working fine. We want to display thumbnails of books on the search result. We've kept the hyperlink of the book cover on the subfield $a of tag 856. I searched for the solution on Google but I couldn't find the relevant information. I found the solution for Koha 2.x but that was just for moving the book cover to the left-hand side of the search result. I have seen libraries displaying the book covers on their search resuly. So, I was wondering how to display the thumbnails of the book covers on the search result of OPAC. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.
