Hello dear Koha community,

As we gear up for KohaCon25 <https://2025.kohacon.org/> this November in
Wellington, it’s also time to look ahead and choose the host for
*KohaCon26*!

      The Process

The bidding period officially closed on *28th March 2025 at 23:59 UTC*.
We’re thrilled to announce that two institutions have stepped forward to
host the next KohaCon:

  *

    *Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany*
    <https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaCon26_Proposals#Karlsruhe_Institute_of_Technology_.28KIT.29.2C_Germany>

  *

    *Cyprus University of Technology Library, Cyprus*
    <https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaCon26_Proposals#Cyprus_University_of_Technology_Library>

As we have multiple bids, it’s now up to the community to decide through
a vote.

      The Vote

Voting is now open and will remain so until *12th September 2025 at
23:59 UTC*
<https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=End+of+vote&iso=20250912T235959&p1=1440>.

This year, we’re using the *Koha community chat platform*
(https://chat.koha-community.org) to run the vote.

  *

    You’ll need to register on the platform with your *email address* if
    you haven't already.

  *

    Each registered account gets *one anonymous vote*.

  *

    *Results remain hidden* until the poll closes

Let’s decide together where we’ll meet for KohaCon26!

Thank you for participating, and see you (virtually or in person!) in
Wellington!

Warm regards,

Caroline Cyr La Rose
