[Koha] Making a field into a drop down menu

Hi John,
if the item type from the item or from the record is used is determined
by the setting of the system preference item-level_itypes. Make sure the
setting fits your setup.
In a lot of libraries there might be branches using different item types
(you can also think of them as loan types, as they determine the
circulation condition used) for items on the same record. Or in some
libraries there might be one item that is for reference to remain in the
library and others that can be checked out.
Hope this helps,
Katrin
