     Comics and graphic novels require a lot of thought if you want to get things right. Much of this article deals with classification instead of cataloguing, but it's worth a look. At the days end, they're special periodicals. If you catalogue your magazines, you should catalogue your comics.

     I do have to say that they are great circ horses and for the price to circulation ratio, really can't be beat. Your mileage will vary on preservation. If your Patrons are conscientious you might find that things don't go to shreds as soon as you might anticipate for old school comics. For bound proper graphic novels, you'll probably discover that they hold up far better than the average Danielle Steel. Patrons that are unsure about the genre will often come around when introduced to something with depth like Neil Gaiman's Sandman series.
