Semantics at work... it fooled me too. (Although I don't see a smaller box, 
but that could well be that I might have tweaked that part of css.)

Thank you - your solution actually works. For the record, it looks as 
though bug 1756 (reported as fixed 2008-07-20 09:02:14) is very close to this.
