[Koha] analytical records sponsorship

Back in March there was some discussion on the list about analytical 
records, and I'd like to know if anyone has gotten any further with 
this.  Is any development being done to link analytical records to the 
parent record's item?  And, would anyone be interested in cosponsoring 
the development with us should we be able to find someone willing to 
take it on?
