[Koha] Label Printing

Hello

We are starting to use Koha to replace a very old DOS based catalog.  
We are entering all inventory as we weed the library. We are to the  
point that we would like to start printing labels - both spine and  
barcode.
The problem is there doesn't seem to be a way to select large groups  
of items. The 3.01 Documentation shows selection criterea that would  
allow large batches to be built. But the current version does not have  
this implemented. Is that correct ?
If that is the case - what are you users doing to produce these labels ?
