[Koha] How to reset max. issues?

Hi all,

We have been using Koha for a month or 2 now, and we are very happy with it.
However, when it was initially set up the limit of items that can be
borrowed was too low, but no matter how I change the preference page, it
does not seem to make any difference. Did I miss something? How can I change
the limit?
