Kudos for your efforts to get Koha to work on MS
I think MS support in the short term is nominally
worthwhile. I think a new crop of librarains will
emerge who are comfortable with digital technologies
and will demand operating systems which enhance equity
of access and at the same time don't conceal common
knowledge.
As a librarian can you imagine buying a book for your
library which would require the patron to buy a reader
to be able to view it?
Sadly, most librarians do not see the connection with
the above and proprietary software.
I recommend you build your library on gnu/linux, on
your test box. Show the result to the higher ups and
be patient.. Nothing will obstruct an idea whose time
has come.
