[Koha] replacement price

We have been trying to convert our library to Koha.  Each time I catalogue a 
book, I search for MARC records, the NEW RECORD appears, I SUBMIT QUERY  and 
then a screen appears that has a place for barcode, home branch, replacement 
price and notes.  I enter the replacement price and scan the barcode that is 
in the book and it says I have entered the book.  My problem is that the 
Repalcemant Price is not saved.  When I go into the CATALOGUE and scan the 
barecode  and the results appear, the replacement cost always reads 0. 
How can I get the replacement price to save?
I'd appreciate any help in this matter.
