Hi Ian,
I am not aware of an existing script, although the new REST API for
patrons should be helpful in the future.
I also found a bug that could be interesting to you and is currently
waiting to be tested:

searching for a cardnumber in the intranet, also try to search for it on
the LDAP server if one is configured
