[Koha] Searching of an index within a library catalogue

Dear all,

I'm planning to add a journal citation index to our existing Koha library
catalogue.  I'm interested to find out whether there is a way library users
can nominate search of such index only (instead of searching the library
catalogueng as well)?  If so, how do you achieve this?
