Hi Manny,
I pretty much agree with Mirko. I think the concern that is being
expressed by Paul and others is that the proposal
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaCon17_Proposals) was submitted
and accepted on the basis of no registration fee. As was raised in the
meeting
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/General_IRC_meeting_2_November_2016)
a suggestion is to develop a budget for the conference. You can then
ascertain whether the funding you have is adequate and if not you can
come back to an IRC meeting or to this list to canvass possible
solutions. So far there has been no call out to Listed Support
Companies for sponsorship but previous conferences have done that. Not
having a registration fee does not prevent you putting a limit on the
number of attendees, or even categories of attendees. Although as Mirko
argues, locals are good.
