[Koha] FW: Biblioitems table

The records I bulk imported had this 942:  =942  \\$2lcc$cEBK<file:///\\$2lcc$cEBK>

So, if biblioitems.cn_sort was going to be generated by Koha the way items.cnsort is generated it should be populated?

Guess I’ll be doing item records, after all.

I generally don't ever populate the biblioitems callnumber fields.  I'm wondering also if those fields are holdovers from a previous version of Koha.  The itemcallnumber, classification and cn_sort values I work with are all in the items table.
If the biblioitems.cn_sort value is to be populated it would also need to know the schema in the 942$2 ddc/loc/etc.

Anyone else populating these fields in biblioitems??

If I had populated 942$6 with my 050 tag contents, would Koha have created the sortable version and populated biblioitems.cn_sort?

We just imported our collection into our new Koha installation.  It went really smoothly.

Based on the schema, though, I was expecting to find a sortable call number in biblioitems.cn_sort.  Since we don't circulate any materials, I didn't create any items.  Is there something I needed to set or map to populate this field when I redo the import?  Or, should I just add item information?
