[Koha] Analytics in 3.10 - is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Elaine,
my feeling is that you are mixing two mutually exclusive procedures,
and that is resulting in your two 773s.

When you use EasyAnalyticalRecords the procedure, as far as I know, is

a) Create parent record
b) Add an item to parent record, remember barcode
c) Create analytic record (normal way, i.e. New+ > Record )
d) Use 'Link to host item' option in Edit pulldown to link this analytic
record to the parent item
this will populate one 773 in the analytic record
e) Reindex

Now a search will show you the parent record and the analytic, this last
one will show you
an item, the parent's one.

Or you can use the Enhanced workflow procedure. In this one you do

a) Set UseControlNumber to 'Use'
b) Create parent record
c) Add an item to parent record
d) Create analytic record using 'New child record' from New+ pulldown
this will populate one 773 in the analytic record
e) Reindex

Now a search will show the parent and the analytic, the last without items

What you are doing is mixing the procedures

a) Create parent
b) Add item to parent
c) Create analytic form 'New child record' (Enhanced procedure)
first 773 in analytic record
d) Now you use 'Link to host item' (EasyAnalytics procedure)
second 773 in analytic record

Perhaps the bug is that 'Link to host item' adds another 773 and do not fill
existing 773.

So, if you use EasyAnalytics you must create your new analytic record in a
normal
way, not using 'Add child record'. The manual does not indicate to use this.
