We start the zebraqueue daemon from the /etc/init.d/koha-zebraqueue-daemon
script at startup.  This is a link to
/usr/share/koha/bin/koha-zebraqueue-ctl.sh.

My hack to keep things up to date is to run
'/usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -b' every 2 minutes
from cron.
/etc/cron.d/koha-hack:
*/30 * * * * koha KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/koha-conf.xml
PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/
rebuild_zebra.pl -b
