I disagree heartily with the cities are more expensive thing. Not in the face! I was a rural Library duhrector. I would concur in the case of New York City. Apart from that, some of the most expensive places I've visited have been in the middle of nowhere. By the time you add in the extra money and time that it takes to get to Bumpass, Virginia to stay in its one hotel (read no competition is a BAD thing) you're wishing you had your conference some place a little more on the beaten track. San Antonio is most certainly NOT expensive. Neither is NOLA. Miami gets there depending on season. LBA suggested someplace out in Cali at some point in the past, and I thought "Oh wow, that'd be nice..."

That said, CT could easily work, and someone wants to do it. Bonus :)

If people sat on me and held my arms, I might eventually relent and find someplace to give us a home in the Capital District.

Cheers,
Brooke
