[Koha] Overdue notices/email

We are transitioning to Koha and are in the process of setting up our email 
"overdue notice" template. We've been told there is one notice sent for each 
item on the account... so if a patron had 5 overdue books, he/she would 
receive 5 seperate emails. Has anyone found a solution for this problem?
