[Koha] Setting up a consortium

Ok. On Koha 3.0.1, we're looking at setting up a consortia of far-flung libraries with centralized cataloging (me).  Can someone please help me understand Independent Branches (if that's what I need) and how to set up individual OPAC pages for each library so they can have logo, etc. on their search page.
