Amy,
Bulkmarcimport.pl can ingest both MARCXML and binary MARC (ISO2709, typically the .mrc extension). It defaults to ISO2709, but you can add " -m MARCMXL" to the call to change that.

Subject: [Koha] quick question re: bulkmarcimport
Hello,
As ever, I am struggling with the migration of my marc data. Yet, I persist. I am trying bulkmarcimport for the, oh, fortieth time... and it seems it wants an XML file, not my marc (.mrc) file. Does this sound right? I thought I would ask before I risk messing up the database.
I used MarcEdit to convert my .mrc file to Marc21XML.
I am running Koha 3.0.
Thanks so much,
Amy
