AFAIK, if you install Koha/2.2.9 (recommended) or 2.2.8 it will work
wtih MySQL 5.0. The incompatibilities in the SQL used by Koha have been
fixed.

Give it a try. We are running both 2.2.8 and 2.2.9 with MySQL/5.0.
