[Koha] Help!!

Can someone please help me with a step by step guide for installing koha
2.2.9 on a linux box. Iam new to linux and l am intending to  try koha as a
library system. I have been attracted by its modules. Please help. I  tried
to run the installer.pl file but l'm failing. hw do l do it.
