Thanks for these suggestions! I have been using MARC RTP to good effect,
as it runs on both Windows and Linux.

Alas, I am not a Perl hacker.  But trying to make sense of Koha's source
files has brought me to the stage where it doesn't look like
"headbanging on a keyboard" so much.  :)
