Email notification in koha
Hi, I want to enable email notification for everything happen for patron in koha like new patron added, checkout, checkin, overdue notices etc. I am able to set email notification for new patron created, it send username and password to the user's email id but rest of the notification like checkin and checkout not working it showing pending message in patron account. Hi Robin, Thanks for your quick reply. I followed the koha wiki installation documentation on centos 6.2 for 3.6, it did not see any such step. I tried to located this file then I found it in /home/bb/koha-3.06.04/debian/docs/koha-email-enable.xml /home/bb/koha-3.06.04/debian/scripts/koha-email-enable these locations, these are in source code of koha, which tar file I downloaded. When I tried to run these files following result came. [root@openlx scripts]# ./koha-email-enable Openlx ./koha-email-enable: no koha instance "Openlx" [root@openlx scripts]# perl koha-email-enable OLX koha-email-enable: no koha instance "OLX" What should I do? Should I reinstall koha on my system, where this step comes to enable email notification in koha? I want to enable both email and sms gateway on my system. OK, given you're not using the debian packages, that command won't help. Given that, you'll have to make sure you've set the cron job to send emails up correctly. That should be in the documentation. Robin.
Hi, On centos, my circulation email alert are not going showing the pending status. But other email alert like new patron adding are going. I tried the following link http://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2011-September/030633.html I randomly run the scripts in that directory given in above link. Once all the checkout and checkin alert gone by chance I don't know how. I was very happy but I tried again all the history command but it did not work. I am at the stage where I started.
