Hi Ahmad First of all, let me say it's great to see someone who has been using Koha since 1.2.3 still around :) You are one of the early adopters and that is great. On to the bad news, upgrading from 1.2.3 to 3.0.x or 3.2.x is going to be a quite complicated process. What you will need to do, is first upgrade to 2.0.0, which you can get here http://download.koha-community.org/koha-2.0.0.tar.gz Then to 2.2.9 http://download.koha-community.org/koha-2.2.9.tar.gz Then from there to 3.0.0 http://download.koha-community.org/koha-3.00.00.tar.gz And from there to 3.0.6 and then on to 3.2.0rc or wait for 3.2.0 full release. Taking backups of the database before each step :) Now the tricky bit comes in with the 2.2.9 to 3.0.0 upgrade But there is a wiki page that steps through that http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Upgrading_2.2 I hope this is some help Chris -- Chris Cormack Catalyst IT Ltd. +64 4 803 2238 PO Box 11-053, Manners St, Wellington 6142, New Zealand
The alternative would be to export your bibliographic and patron data, do a fresh 3.2 install and re-load your data. You'd have to use something like MarcEdit to change the 952 tag of your bib records. You would also lose all your history and would have to consider current loans and holds (were they in 1.2.3?) but you would avoid the tricky 2.2.9 to 3.0 upgrade. Just an option. Bob Birchall Calyx

They were, MARC wasnt :) But yeah, you could create MARC records from the data, and load that into a 3.2 Chris

you can migration data by upgrade version from 1.2.3 to 2.0 to 2.2 to 2.4 to 2.8 to 3.0 it's so easy . good luck
There's a few extra steps in there (there was no 2.4 or 2.8), but it's not horrendously difficult, no. My old library migrated from SirsiDynix Horizon to Koha 2.2 to Koha 3.0. The Horizon shift was far harder than the Koha version change :) 2010/10/13 Mohamed Fekry Negm <mfekry6@hotmail.com>
