Re: [Koha] Continued Migration Woes
Salvete! I used to have a big old chart in my Newbie Guide for what I had linked to what else. That seems to have disappeared.
itemnum The field itemnum MUST be mapped The correspounding subfield MUST be in with -1 (ignore) tab OK All item fields are in the same tag and in item tab OK itemtypes table filled with at least 1 value
Go to Parameters, Links Koha MARC DB Drop the menu down to items Where it says itemnumber click the little folder and set it to 952u if you want to copy off of me..
itemtype NOT mapped the biblioitems.itemtype field MUST : be mapped to a MARC subfield, the correspounding subfield MUST have authorised_value=itemtype OK branch table filled with at least 1 value
Same general place, only switch the drop down to biblioitems and make sure that itemtype is mapped. I have it hooked into 300f.
homebranch NOT mapped the items.homebranch field MUST : be mapped to a MARC subfield, the correspounding subfield MUST have authorised value=branches
Home branch is in the items dropdown, which I've mapped to 952b
holdingbranch NOT mapped the items.holdingbranch field MUST : be mapped to a MARC subfield, the correspounding subfield MUST have authorised value=branches
Holding branch is in the exact same place and I've it mapped to 952d
biblio and biblionumber The biblio.biblionumber and biblioitems.biblioitemnumber fields MUST :
My biblioitemnumber is associated with 090 d. Hope this helps, Brooke @ Hinsdale MA
Hi Brooke,
Go to Parameters,
Links Koha MARC DB
Drop the menu down to items
Where it says itemnumber click the little folder and set it to 952u
if you want to copy off of me..
Thank you so much for the suggestion! I've run into a problem though: when I try to click on the folder, I get a page with a series of drop down boxes without values, rather than a place to enter the numbers you mention. Any ideas why that might be? Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim In one of those drop downs (probably the last one) there will be all the 900 tags 952u should be in there Chris -- Chris Cormack chris.cormack@liblime.com VP Research and Development www.liblime.com LibLime +64 21 542 131

Thanks, Chris. Sorry for the slow reply. I'm wondering if our db is just corrupt. I've been trying to convince the committee to just start with a fresh db, but if we do that they want to switch from KOHA so, I thought I should pursue the problem some more. It seems that all of the dropdowns are empty in every field. I tried to look at different tables, etc., and could not find any case where the page with the drop downs had content to select. Does your company ever repair koha db's for a fee? Any more ideas? I am very grateful for your help.
Coming at this from a different angle, is there anyway I could just export the entries into a different format (despite the problems in my DB) and then reimport them into a fresh install of the latest version of KOHA? Thanks, Tim
