Hi all, Horowhenua Library Trust are running 3.2 and uses the acquisitions module in to mange annual budgets, funds, orders and receiving of stock. We place orders against the 'current' active budget (eg 2010/2011 with start/end dates 01/07/2010 - 30/06/2011). We are currently ordering stock which needs to come out of the 'next' active budget ie 2011/2012 with start/end dates 01/07/2011-30/06/2012). My problem is that some titles being ordered now need to be recorded against the 'next' active budget ie 2011/2012 not the current one. So my question is how do other libraries manage that? Cheers Jo. -- Joann Ransom RLIANZA Head of Libraries, Horowhenua Library Trust.
Hi Jo, We came across this recently too. Our interim solution was to create the new year's fund codes with a different name. eg. FIC for the current year became FIC12 for next year. It works in that you can allocate to the right year, but it is still a big messy on the summary screen where both budgets are shown. Thanks Paul, In 2.2 we had a customization where we could tick a wee check box called 'next budget' and that worked fine. I wonder if I should see if (and pay for) that enhancement to be added to 3.2 (or 3.4 - whatever) Cheers Jo. On 2 June 2011 08:57, Paul Nielsen <pauln@hauraki-dc.govt.nz> wrote:

3.6 :-) (3.2.10 is due out pretty soon the last release for the 3.2.x line) 3.4.x will continue with releases once a month. But these are bug fix releases. The next big feature release is 6 months after the 3.4.0 release (which was 6 months after the 3.2.0 release). October 22 2011. Just in time for Kohacon11 in Thane, India. Interested people can track the progress for 3.6.0 on my branchable.com site here http://koha-releasemanagement.branchable.com/ The numbers there correspond to numbers in bugs.koha-community.org eg 3580 = http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3580 Even more interested people can click the links on http://koha-releasemanagement.branchable.com/ To see lists of bugs/features awaiting sign off, or awaiting qa etc. People who are awesome can also comment/test/improve the bug reports Remember Koha is as good as we all make it :) Chris -- Chris Cormack Catalyst IT Ltd. +64 4 803 2238 PO Box 11-053, Manners St, Wellington 6142, New Zealand
