Outstanding fines of $0.00 in Koha 3
I couldn't check anything out to a patron because of a fine of $0.00. I set preferences to allow fines of up to $0.01 to get around this, but it still warns of a fine of $0.00. Does anyone know what would cause that and how to fix it? -- Tim McMahon West Liberty Public Library
We have gotten that too, and have reported it to LibLime, but haven't heard anything new about it. Actually, we can still check out to the patron, but the message is there on the patron's checkout screen. Kathy At 03:23 PM 1/20/2009, Tim McMahon wrote:

Does anyone know what would cause that and how to fix it? Off the top of my head, I think there's a new syspref in 3.0 that sets a threshold of what the maxfine allowed is before patrons are blocked. Set that to whatever your policy is (or to a high number if you don't have a policy) and that should fix it.

All I found (so far) is noissuescharge described as maximum amount withstanding to be able to check out an item. This is the one I set to 0.01. -- Tim McMahon West Liberty Public Library

Yes, this is a bug and isn't related to the noissuescharge system preference. I should have a patch out later today. Regards, Galen -- Galen Charlton VP, Research & Development, LibLime galen.charlton@liblime.com p: 1-888-564-2457 x709 skype: gmcharlt
