i'm completely Newbie with koha, and i'm very little familiar with packeges and installation on linux SO also.
I suggest you to use a Koha Virtual Appliance. You find them here: http://millruntech.com/koha/koha-virtual-appliances Much more easier than learn linux from scratch. Bye
