The barcode size is, unfortunately, related to the length of the number being encoded. Basically the more digits in the number, the better proportioned the barcode will be. This needs to be fixed, but has proven a bit of a challenge for numbers using less than about six digits. Fixes are welcomed. :-)

I can confirm that the barcode type does not save properly in the template editor in the master branch. This needs to be filed as a bug.

Edit patron card layout and select Image 2 > Image source > Image>select image but image path window is not available
