Hi all, I'm trying to get 2.2.1 installed on Libranet 2.8.1 (a Debian-based distro) and am running into trouble with the installation script. I followed Joshua's instructions for installing on Debian Woody (excellent, BTW!) and everything seems to go smoothly until it tries to create the database. I was wondering if anyone else had run into this. Here's the error output from the database creation stage: Creating the MySQL database for Koha... 0/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'access denied for user: kohaadmin@localhost (Using password: YES)' However, I can log in to the mysql monitor with the kohaadmin user. I also notice that when the script is creating the user 'kohaadmin' (after prompting for the password) it prints out this message, but still proceeds to the next step. I don't know whether it's significant or not, so I'll include it: Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at Install.pm line 1364, <STDIN> line 9. Anyhow, it seems that the database isn't getting created as a result. Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix it? Below is some of the version information for related software on this system: mysql: ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.24 perl 5.8.4 apache 1.3.33 kernel 2.4.21 Thanks!
