Could you open a bug report and attach a patch?

Thanks, Jonathan.
That line should read:
installer/data/mysql/mandatory/subtag_registry.sql:VALUES ( 'vi', 'language', 'vi', 'Tiếng Việt');
I also had to update the line in my database (which had an id of 238):
UPDATE `language_descriptions` SET `description` = 'Tiếng Việt' WHERE `language_descriptions`.`id` ='238';

It comes from this line: installer/data/mysql/mandatory/subtag_registry.sql:VALUES ( 'vi', 'language', 'vi', '㗂越');

We have used Koha in Vietnam for several years, and when the vi-VN locale is installed, it appears in the OPAC as Chinese characters. Not the actual interface, mind you, just in the language selector:
<a href="/cgi-bin/koha/opac-changelanguage.pl?language=vi-VN" tabindex="-1" role="menuitem" class="listmenulink">㗂越</a>
That seems to be a bug to me, but maybe there is an explanation? Is there a way to fix it? It should be "Tiếng Việt" not "㗂越".
