[Koha] Library Groups

Hi all, I'm working on moving the manual and editing it while I do so - I was wondering if anyone could tell me how library groups are used. I saw someone say you can limit to a library group via search - and then a reply that that doesn't work - so can anyone tell me what groups are for? Nicole
