Dear Johnstone, You could use barcode option itself for accommodating accession number for an item. When you go edit items for a particular record, you get to chose -Add item and multiple items option. Yes. The barcode and accession number are different. Koha is able to add that automatic number called the barcode. But I wanted to add another number called accession number which is assigned to the item when it has been acquired.
