Hi Chris (and all) It seems that Firefox now prevents to open local files or files located on a local resource (\\ServerName). See those links for more details: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Links+to+local+or+network+pages+do+not+w... http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_:_Issues_:_Links_to_Local_Pages_Don%27t_Wo... The solution (thanks to StackOverflow <http://stackoverflow.com/questions/192080/firefox-links-to-local-or-network-pages-do-not-work>) * type "about:config" in the address bar and accept "i'll be careful" * find "security.checkloaduri" in older versions or "security.fileuri.strict_origin_policy" in newer versions of firefox and change the value to "false" * restart firefox Cheers, Eric On 2010-08-09 15:15, Christopher Downs wrote:

For your first point, prepending your URL with FILE:// <FILE:///%5C%5C> should do the trick.

Hi Everyone,
Couple of questions:
1. I have e-Books stored on a server they are accessible by a server path such as\\ZEUS\Ebooks\Robert <file:///%5C%5CZEUS%5CEbooks%5CRobert> A. Heinlein\Friday (9178)\Friday - Robert A. Heinlein.lit I add this in as a URL however whenever anyone clicks on a link it redirects tohttp://olympus/cgi-bin/koha/%5C%5CZEUS%5CEbooks%5CRobert%20A.%20Heinlein%5CF... can anyone suggest a good way of getting around this minor issue :)
2. I have quite an extensive eBook collection that I need to import any recommendations for how I could achieve this easily I have a list of the titles and their paths but unsure of a way to import them.
