Koha doesn't care what format you use. What matters is what kind of barcode reader/scanner hardware you have... and even there, most barcode readers can handle several different formats. I need help figuring out what barcode encoding to use with Koha when ordering library cards. Barcode encodings which are available include Code 39 & Codabar. Is there a specific encoding which Koha requires or likes. Also, the library card vendor wants to know if a check digit is required; the check digit signals the barcode reader where the beginning and end of the content is, correct?
