I wrote this feature, but it's been awhile so things may have changed. As far as I am aware, this should be allowed by the system. However, I don't recall writing in anything to limit a patron from selecting a different branch for pickup. This may result in a situation where Library A cannot transfer books to Library B, but the patron reserved a Library A book for pickup at Library B. Again, it's been a long time since I wrote the code, so I could be wrong. I got this question today from a library about to go live with Koha and I'm not exactly sure how to answer it.
"Our system is a collection of four sites. One of them (Library A) has a severe restriction: Books from its collection cannot be transferred to the other sites. They can be put on hold by patrons at any of the branches, but must be picked up at Library A."
Is this possible? Will the Library Transfer Limits do this? I'm thinking that if holds are allowed there is no way that they can stop the transferring, but I could be wrong and would love to hear from any of you who are using Library Transfer Limits or some such similar feature/rule.
