Here is how I made branch specific search pages in Koha 2.2.9 (windows version). You may be able to use this as a starting point. Good luck. **************************************** To make a custom search page: (ie: “I want my students to only search my branch as default”) Edit c:\~\OPAC\cgi-bin\koha\opac-search.pl Save a copy as PINEopac-search.pl Edit line 202 (template_name) to “PINEopac-search.tmpl” Edit c:\~\OPAC\htdocs\opac-tmpl\css\en\opac-search.tmpl Save a copy as PINEopac-search.tmpl Edit line 87 to read <option value=“PINE”>Pine</option Point browsers to http://<site>/cgi-bin/koha/PINEopac-search.tmpl *************************************** Scott Owen Alma Public Schools Zachary Spalding wrote:
I am just starting out with Koha and was hoping someone on the list may be able to answer these questions?
1. Is there a way to default to a specific branch library, I have about 17 libraries that our separate institutions that need to default to a search for only their stuff. If it could be done via a parameter in the URL that would be perfect. I just don't want to run 17 instances of Koha if I can avoid it.
2. Has anyone tryed to import Serhold data from National Library of Medicine and can you tell me how did you get that process started with NLM?
Thanks
