I suspect MARC import/exporting will not work properly if you select MARC21. I do not know UNIMARC well enough to say. Maybe Paul can give information on that?
There may be some incompatibilies with scandinavian character mapping between iso 8859-15 and utf-8, but, if I am understand right, the finnish universities library network is switching to utf-8 and that is our primary source for importing records.
