First of all, as this is my first mail to the list, greetings to everyone out there who reads this. I am a student from berlin, at the time trying to set up koha for a befriended library, but before that on my own machine. I have Linux 3.1 (sarge afaik) installed on my pc and am trying to make my way through to getting koha work on it. Problem as follows: I try to set up NET::Z3950 with the usual makefile etc., this module says it can't find -lwrap. I've found out that I need libwrap0 installed to solve that. libwrap0 (and libdbd-mysql-perl as well) say they need the libc 2.3.51 or higher versions of it, whereas on my linux installation there is something like 2.2.32. I've read that there is a high chance of messing up the system should i try to install libc from newer distributions. I couldnt find libc6 2351, but instead 2.3.6.7, which is apparently of the unstable-linux-distribution. though i didn't find relevant postings in the koha archive i assume i am not the first one who has this problem and i wanted to ask if and how others have solved this. You may yet have noticed that i am not an experienced linux user. thanks in advance and excuse my pidgin english greetings, Stefan Gesing
